Wilson's translation features some small but radical changes to the way several Homeric expressions are explained, never seen in the 400 years of the poem's versions in English; while her version brings the reader closer to the original, it also changes the traditional conversation surrounding concepts such as freedom and slavery, human nature, or gender inequality.
